NJ Public Adjusters, Inc. was established in January 2007 by Jeffrey Hall to offer homeowners and business owners professional assistance with their claims. Prior to establishing NJPA, Mr. Hall owned and operated Coastal Construction, Inc. In the past, the company handled new construction, renovations and remodeling. Currently, they are geared more towards restoration projects involving insurance losses. Over the years, many of Coastal Construction’s customers experienced damages to their homes that were covered under their homeowner insurance policies. However, it was often difficult to get the insurance companies to pay for the proper repairs that needed to be performed. Most homeowners and contractors are not familiar with the insurance policy and how to navigate through the insurance process in order to get losses paid properly. This results in underpaid or even denied losses.

In 1996, Mr. Hall took a position with one of the largest insurance companies as a structural estimator. In this position, he prepared insurance estimates on behalf of the insurance company to settle claims caused by covered losses. He was soon promoted to a claims adjuster position where he took part in a twelve-month training program that included intensive policy interpretation and estimating software applications. It became apparent that insurance companies were not always paying claims properly, either by underpaying claims or mistakenly denying claims. Mr. Hall recognized the need for homeowners to be professionally represented and decided to become an advocate for homeowners as a licensed public adjuster in the state of New Jersey. Based on Mr. Hall’s insurance and construction experience, he has settled thousands of homeowner claims throughout New Jersey.
